About the event
Solutions to the “Hidden Hazards” of Policing is a 2 day course scheduled for September 24th & 25th from 8:30AM until 4:30PM each day. The course objectives for each day are:
Day 1:
- Define Leadership and the power of influence.
- Explore nine specific leaders in the workplace, blindspots, and their levels of self-mastery for optimization.
- Develop on-the-ground engagement that employees require at each stage of the life cycle.
- Explore the need for boundaries and necessary endings.
- Learn that as a mindful leader, it is your responsibility to ensure that your team is effective and engaged and that your values align with your leadership (Extreme Ownership).
Day 2:
- Compare and contrast open systems and closed systems as hidden hazards!
- Learn how to institutionalize psychological safety at every level within the organization!
- Learn to assess your current mindset, identify self-limiting beliefs (hidden hazards), and adopt specific strategies to build a growth mindset.
- Learn to identify micro-to-macro dysfunctional coping strategies officers utilize when caught in a vortex.
- Learn the art of crucial conversations to support your staff's growth and development.
- Learn the power of dishabituation.
